Chesapeake is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Chesapeake is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Virginia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have visited Greenbrier Farms many times, but usually in the fall. Today, my daughter and I had a nice lunch at the hive - I got the farmstand salad with shrimp, and she got a chicken and cheese quesadilla. I also ordered the blueberry & lemon spritzer and it was delicious and refreshing. It feels good to support local businesses. We came here for the animals and they did not disappoint. The Hereford cow is truly an angel. While I love the fall festivities, it can get quite busy, so today was a much more relaxed way to enjoy the farm grounds.

Pretty flooded. Customer service was terrible we got yelled at on the way to go strawberry picking because we stopped to see animals. They told us we need to go into the entrance and pay before doing that. My youngest wanted to play on the bounce houses but my oldest (11 years old) did not but they still forced us to pay for her to sit and watch with the adults. This place has changed. New management? We used to love it here

Motherโs Day Magic at The Historic Greenbrier Farms & Hive If you were looking for the perfect spot to celebrate Mom, The Historic Greenbrier Farms was the place to be. The vibe was incredibleโcompletely family-friendly with a relaxed, sunny energy. Between the live music drifting through the air and the kids staying busy with the playground and barnyard animals, the atmosphere was pure joy. Of course, a major highlight was the strawberry picking. The fields are in full swing, and there was something so rewarding about gathering sun-ripened berries right off the vine. It is the ultimate wholesome spring activity. The Feast at The Hive After working up an appetite in the fields, we headed to The Hive for lunch. The menu offered a fantastic seasonal spread, and almost everything hit the mark. Here is the breakdown: โข Pulled Pork Sandwich: This was the standout. The pork was tender, but the blueberry BBQ sauce was the real heroโtangy, sweet, and totally unique. โข Asparagus Caprese Salad: A crisp, bright twist on a classic. The asparagus was perfectly tender and paired beautifully with the fresh mozzarella. โข Margarita Flight: Refreshing and vibrant, these were the ideal companion for

Had a great time picking strawberries. Its great for the whole family. The set up for the playground and bounce houses were great along with seeing all the animals. We also tried the restaurant and a few drinks. Food was excellent (must try the honeybun soo good!) Drinks were great as well. While we ate the kids were able to play. Definitely will go back.

Came over the weekend and had such a great time! They had a cute fall festival with a little shop and a restaurant. The pumpkin patch was large with plenty of pumpkins to choose from, and the bus ride over to the patch was such a fun touch. They also have Christmas trees, apple picking, and sunflower picking depending on the season, so thereโs always something to do. The petting zoo was adorable, and there were lots of fun activities for families. Such a great spot for all ages and every season!
